Tour Description

After you are greeted at your hotel (either in Naples, Sorrento or Amalfi coast), you will make your way to the archaeological site of Pompeii, the ancient city whose ruins were preserved by the volcanic eruption for almost 2000 years ago here you will spend a couple of hours.

Archeological Excavations in Pompei are open from the 1st of November to the 31st of March every day from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

From the 1st of April to the 31st of October every day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Either licensed guides can be arranged ahead of time or audio guides can be rented on-site, with voice recordings in many languages. However you choose to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will be in awe as you see the remnants of this 1st century city which offer some insight into the Roman life that came to a premature stop here on 24 August AD 79.

You will meet back up with your driver outside the ruins and continue on to the next site of the day, Mt. Vesuvius where you will climb to the summit to see the active volcano and enjoy the memorable view of the bay of Naples

After the tour of the Vesuvius your driver will take the Amalfi coast to the most famous village of Positano where you will spend the afternoon in he narrow winding streets and seaside cafe before heading back to your hotel in the late afternoon

POMPEI

Pompeii is in Campania, Italy, not far from Naples.Its major attraction is the ruined ancient Roman city of the same name, which was engulfed by Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.

This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Romans took control of Pompeii around 200 BC. On August 24, 79 AD, Vesuvius erupted, burying the nearby town of Pompeii in ash and soot, killing 20,000 people, and preserving the city in its state from that fateful day.
